Ingredients
- 8 oz spaghetti
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- Freshly grated Parmesan optional
Instructions
- Cook the spaghetti according to package directions. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for 1–2 minutes.
- Add lemon zest and juice, stir to combine.
- Add cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat. Use reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce if needed.
- Season with salt and pepper. Stir in chopped parsley.
- Serve with grated Parmesan, if desired.
