- 8 oz spaghetti
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- Freshly grated Parmesan optional
Cook the spaghetti according to package directions. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for 1–2 minutes.
Add lemon zest and juice, stir to combine.
Add cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat. Use reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce if needed.
Season with salt and pepper. Stir in chopped parsley.
