Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • Freshly grated Parmesan optional

Instructions
 

  • Cook the spaghetti according to package directions. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for 1–2 minutes.
  • Add lemon zest and juice, stir to combine.
  • Add cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat. Use reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce if needed.
  • Season with salt and pepper. Stir in chopped parsley.
  • Serve with grated Parmesan, if desired.
