FAQs

WILL MY HEALTH INSURANCE COVER WELLNESS VISITS?

Alysse hopes to get approved as a provider for several insurance policies in 2021 to best support wellness needs for the PNW community. Until this time, Alysse’s clients can submit a “superbill” to their insurance company for out of network reimbursement or pay by credit card through a secure online platform.

WHAT STEPS DO I TAKE BEFORE MY INITIAL CONSULTATION?

The first step is to book your consultation. Once your session is scheduled, you will get access to a client portal. After accessing this portal, Alysse will ask you to submit a few documents: consent for services, privacy policy, payment information and health/wellness history.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM A WELLNESS CONSULTATION?

Each wellness consultation is specific and individualized. My clients walk away feeling prepared to tackle their health and wellness goals. Alysse can provide you with personalized meals plans, calorie and macronutrient recommendations, recipes, fitness and activity plans and interventions for sleep and stress management.

WHY IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A DIETITIAN AND NUTRITIONIST

Anyone who completes a degree in nutrition can refer to themselves as a nutritionist. Dietitians must complete a bachelor’s degree and a 1200-hour dietetic internship program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND). To become certified dietitians must pass the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) exam. Dietitians must submit an application for licensure in most states.
